The Southern Cross Club will be holding its AGM at 7 pm on Friday 29 May. If you'd like to join us for a meal beforehand and meet other members, we have the room booked from 6 pm.
VENUE
Cafe Stefanshus, Stefansgade 22 in N?rrebro. Go to the left when you come in the door from the street, then proceed to the back room with billiards, there are two small rooms on the right hand side. We have booked the first one.
AFTER THE AGM
Socialise. The cafe is open until midnight.
We'd like to know if you're coming, but you are also welcome to just turn
up. You're welcome to send nominations for the committee. These and any
motions to be taken up at the AGM need to be received at
committee@southerncrossclub.dk on or before Friday 8 May. New committee members would be very welcome. If you don't have time for that, help to
organise an event would also be welcome. But come to the AGM anyway: you
don't have to commit yourself to anything. We'll just be glad to see you.

If by any chance you can't attend the AGM email voting is possible after the agenda is sent out (about 9 May). Casting your vote this way will help us achieve a quorum.

Dronning Mary's Father
Dronning Mary's father, John Donaldson, has passed away, age 84. When he lived in Denmark he used to attend some Australasian events. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Southern Cross Pub, though whether it was on Anzac Day or when rugby was shown on TV there, I can't remember, but I think the latter.
Anzac Day
The Australian Embassy is as usual arranging a dawn service for Australians and New Zealanders at 4.45 am in St Alban's Church, just outside Kastellet. This is followed by a gunpowder breakfast in Kastellet, for which you will need to register with the embassy.
A New Zealand civic service will be held at 9.30 am in Bispebjerg Cemetery. Meet at S?ndre Kapel.

The Southern Cross Club invites all members and friends to a Pot Luck Lunch at Eleanor Bomholt's place on Sunday September 28th. at 12:30pm.
Please bring along both food to share and beverages - beer/wine/soft drinks etc. Then we will put all the food out to share. And likewise for the beverage.
The club will provide a free beer or soft drink to all members, but you may still want to bring your own favourite beer/wine/soft drink along.
Please email the committee in advance on committee@southerncrossclub.dk and let us know how many people are coming. Please also indicate what sort of food you plan to bring. We may need to coordinate the food a bit, so we don't all bring the same dish.
