Dronning Mary's father, John Donaldson, has passed away, age 84. When he lived in Denmark he used to attend some Australasian events. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Southern Cross Pub, though whether it was on Anzac Day or when rugby was shown on TV there, I can't remember, but I think the latter.
